Rogue Outpost Weekly League, season 2, round 3: James D (Rebel Alliance) vs Nébal (Scum and Villainy)

Publié le par Nébal

Rogue Outpost Weekly League, season 2, round 3! And a new battle report in English. Of course, I’m French, so I’m genetically designed to speak and write an awful English… Please be kind!

This league, run by the Rogue Outpost from the UK, is a casual competition with a fun twist: for each round there are specific list building rules. There they are:

  • Round 1: your list must include one I6 pilot and at least four generic pilots.
  • Round 2: your list must include at least three separate torpedo upgrades.
  • Round 3: your list must be Hyperspace format.
  • Round 4: your list must include only I3 and I4 pilots.
  • Round 5: your list must only be comprised of pilots with even numbered agility and even numbered initiative.
  • Round 6: using the YASB “Multi-faction” option, your list must include ships from at least two factions.

I really like this kind of tournaments that compel players, most of the time, to be creative and not rely on the current meta, which can be quite boring after some time.

For this third round, therefore, lists must be Hyperspace format. I usually like Hyperspace, but I must say that, right now, I don’t think that format is really entertaining, because it doesn't provide that many competitive options. I certainly didn’t want to play TIE v1 spam, as it not the spirit of this tournament, but I suffered from some lack of imagination indeed…

Anyway, I have been paired with James D, a very nice player from the UK, who brought the following Rebel Alliance list:

T-65 X-Wing – •Luke Skywalker – 61

•Luke Skywalker – Red Five (61)

Servomotor S-Foils (0)

RZ-1 A-Wing – •Ahsoka Tano – 55

•Ahsoka Tano – Fulcrum (49)

Instinctive Aim (1)

Proton Rockets (5)

RZ-1 A-Wing – •Hera Syndulla – 47

•Hera Syndulla – Phoenix Leader (42)

Proton Rockets (5)

RZ-1 A-Wing – •Wedge Antilles – 35

•Wedge Antilles – Promising Pilot (35)

Total: 198/200

As for myself, I finally brought a Scum and Villainy list, including everyone’s favourite Space Lizard (the only one of these pilots I had played before…), the TRVE Mandalorian, and some escaping Padawan:

Fang Fighter•Fenn Rau – 70

•Fenn Rau – Skull Leader (68)

Predator (2)

YV-666 Light Freighter•Bossk – 68

•Bossk – Fearsome Hunter (60)

•Greedo (1)

•Zam Wesell (4)

Contraband Cybernetics (3)

HWK-290 Light Freighter – •Kanan Jarrus – 62

•Kanan Jarrus – Lost Padawan (42)

•Moldy Crow (16)

•Protectorate Gleb (2)

Engine Upgrade (2)

Total: 200/200

Now to the game.

Defeat for the Scum and Villainy, 200-102… Ouch! That hurt! And that Baby Wedge was such a nuisance during endgame… Well played, James, and thank you for the game! I wish you the best of luck for the remainder of the tournament!

So I’m 2-1 now… We’ll see what happens next week. I3 and I4 pilots? I’ve played quite a few recently… See you soon anyway!
